I need words of wisdom and instruction.
I am trying to create, basically, a poker chip with different designs on each side.
I created the artwork for the 2 faces and then used MakerLab - Image to Keychain and downloaded them as 3mf. Each model has 1mm of coloured design and a 1mm black backing.
I opened 1, copied it and then opened the other and inserted the first one onto the plate.
Now I want to stack one on the other and this is where the issues begin.
I select the 2 models and merge them into 1
I choose Assembly and select the 2 bottom faces.
This causes only the 1mm bottom backing plate (where the movable face is) to move, leaving the 1mm design sitting there.
The orphaned design now won’t select as a single item and I can’t select the (now) bottom of the backing plate that moved.
How do I get each 3mf object to be a single “lump” so I can merge the 2 together?
I have read the wiki which basically says merge them then stack them and not much else.
