I went from 1 printer to 5 printers in the last month A1, then 3x P1s, then X1C. I decided to downsize. I sold two printers today, and am left with 1 x XC1 w/ AMS + 2x PS1.
I’m still new to this game. I’m wondering if I can get by with only 2 printers? I am mostly using the printers for the kids fidget business, lol, and home organization.
There is a small chance I want to try printing a larger model, like a full size R2D2. If I do start printing, I’m wondering if that 3rd printer would really come in handy?
This may be subjective.
I only have two printers and no business. I see the main limitation in your case as the fidget business. This implies the need to fulfil client orders within a deadline, for which you need to account for failures (printers or prints). So, what’s the size of the business? For example, if you allocate one printer for the fidgets, having a spare in case of unforeseen issues is handy and wise.
To print a large R2D2 (looking forward to seeing it), more printers can make you go faster. It can become unreasonable at some point, as you need spare spools for each printer.
Additionally, if you do multicolour printing, you will still be limited to one.
