My order just arrived and it appears two of the nine rolls have been cut by a careless warehouse employee. One is just through the box, but the other is through the box, the vacuum seal and actually into the filament as you can see in the picture.
The issue is that these come in a box of 10 and 3PX opens them with a box cutter by slashing across the front. I’ve got dozens of filament boxes with this kind of damage but usually they don’t make it so deep. I’ve even got one of the master boxes they slashed open like this and then retaped to reuse for my shipment!
Is it PLA? From a moisture standpoint it’s probably safe to print with (it was cut in the US, not China). But from a feeding standpoint it’s not as safe to print with. Those cuts will be places the filament can break apart in the AMS or feeder.
I would say 100% the one in the picture is going to be trouble. The AMS is probably going to snap it where the cut is and even without the AMS it could cause a problem going in to the hotend.
