I’ve been collecting and storing all my printer poop for about 2 years now and I’m starting to run out of space to keep it all. When I started I was thinking that within a year there would be a consumer friendly solution to shred and make filament at home …. this hasn’t happened yet.
thanks. I’ve seen videos on youtube of makers trying to make their own but none of them look like reliable machines. There was also this: Loop - the world’s first desktop 3d filament maker but after a year, still nothing from them either.
Have a look for 3d printing academy on youtube , he uses one that mixes colourless pellets weighed and adds colour pellets that are also weighed out , mixed in a cement mixer , cooled over a long water tray before spooling , i think his system starts around $3,500
that may be the wrong channel name , but he does run one
