Just asking from the makerworld community which models they find most interesting.
I have been struggling for ideas recently because most of the stuff i design is functional prints for problems only i have.
Nothing wrong with designing functional models to solve problems you have. Also try to think of things that can help others, especially around the house, garage, car, backyard etc…
While some things may already be created, there is no reason why you can’t improve on things (ideally creating your own design), however, if you do want to improve on an existing design, make sure you have permission from the original owner 1st (or Licensing on the model allows modifications)

You might be surprised and find that other people have similar/related problems that you could create a more general solution for? A model with numerous size variations for instance.
Maybe even creating parametric solutions so people can measure their environment and make a part to fit. This doesn’t quite fit the MakerWorld model, but you could post a model with a small but varied selection of profiles that might be commonly useful and a link to the parametric file and instructions for loading that into the relevant CAD package to make a specific alternative.
Intresting i might just try that
In the Creator Center (click your profile on the upper right on MakerWorld to find it) there’s a tab for the current trending searches if you want to look for what the people want
