MakerWorld default “top” comment sorting system prioritized comment threads and threads where the designer replies. So if you reply to users who have issues or need help with your design, all of the top comments will be about problems with your model. And if the top comments are all describing issues then that is bound to turn away some users, and that means fewer points.
Instead you should ignore the users who need help and reply to users who say “great model”, “love it” and try to engage them in a 3 or 4 comment chain to boost those comments.
Obviously I’m being a bit tongue in cheek here. But it is kind of annoying that even though I have hundreds of positive comments on my designs, the top comments are all complaints just because I tried to help those people.

On the other hand, helping users can sometimes lead them to boost you (sometimes 2x boosts) in gratitude.
Though this is a good reminder to engage with the positive reviews as well!

It might be better in that case to direct message them to solve the problem.once solved, post a comment reply if it is a tip for printing the model

I respond to every single comment and rating.
Sometimes over 100 a day.
What I have learnt is this:
-
Those who rate poorly will rarely reply to offers of assistance.
-
Those who rate poorly citing they do not like the model, will not be convinced to rate the quality of the print (what they should be reviewing). I have only experienced a rate change once.
-
Responding to those who leave a decent rating and a positive comment, often results in a Boost if you engage with their message based on their actual message, personalised responses work well.
-
If you notice one person downloading several of your models, personalise your responses accordingly, as it only helps to improve relationships and their positive comments.
-
If someone leaves an unrelated or unreasonable response, then add a suitable response, and always be polite. Smart people read both sides of a comment.

I would love to know if there are users downloading more than 1 of my models. How are you keeping track of this? Maybe there’s a way to see on makerworld that I don’t know about?

Useful information to know.
Unfortunately not.
Worse, if a user downloads your model more than once, only the first time counts towards any points.
The analytics we get only show downloads counted towards points. You likely know that very few downloads are counted towards your points.
For example, imagine your model impresses a user, they print it. Superb you think, nope, that user printed five other models today, yours is the sixth and only the first five per user per day count towards download counts for designers.

Meh just report the ones you don’t like. Problem solved
Just kidding.
I’ll thank and assist where needed with my stuff, I also do this to my printed profiles on external models. I find its generally well accepted for most, some I have to put on my diplomatic cap to not get snarky though. I’ve recently gone on a reply sabbatical and haven’t noticed any influence either way.
I had one recently who assured me that my battery container lids refused to stay on their bases.
I explained that it required the batteries in the container before the top and bottom worked together.
I received a response, that I was stupid and it had no way to do such a thing.
I explained (semi-politely) that the magnets lock the top and bottom of the container and the batteries act as a means to stop it sliding off.
The user changed their 1-star review and admitted he had not read the "requires magnets across the description multiple times and the photos or my earlier responses. I now have a proud 5-star from someone who failed to understand magnets!
There are the odd ones that give you a warm feeling when you solve their issues, then there are others you wanna…
