Currently how my orca slicer is doing things is it first print all the walls first then starts with the infill. Is there anyway to make it so that after it draws the wall of an ‘island’ it will do the infill first of that island before proceeding to another island?
I would want it to do this way to minimize (in my opinion) the stringing visible on the first layer since it doesnt move around much to places where it shouldn’t be
So, you want to print the walls with no infill? Or infill with no walls? Or one full thing then a the second thing? Please clarify what you are trying to do.
Select “Infill First” in the slicer and it will do all the infills before any walls.
What you want isn’t quite the same thing. But the only way to get it to do what you want is if the “islands” are separate objects.
Stringing is usually because the filament needs to be dried, or it is over-extruding a little bit. Unless you’re printing PETG or TPU which like to string, drying may solve your problem.
