Imperfections (some kind of z layer shift?)

Hey friends,

I have noticed that suddenly my prints do habe some imperfections which are bothering me alot. Since i have had never an issue like this I would like to get advise what most likely the issue could be before I start “randomly debugging and disassembling” my machine

Anybody has a good hint or even similiar experience in the past? Please see the pictures.

Best Regards

Check to see if your part fan is working.

I have a similar issue and my part fan keeps turning itself off, despite being set to be always on and even when I manually turn it on. I read that it is a bug that was addressed a few weeks back, but it doesn’t seem to have actually updated on my printer? Do we have to push firmware manually to the printer?

Welcome to the forum.

Do you have a link the where you read about the bug? Often power cycling the printer will prompt to update the firmware if one is available. You can also try a factory reset as that has been known to solve odd issues.

I saw it on Reddit in the Bambu Labs sub. I can’t post a link since I’m still new and I’m trying to comment so Discobot sees me as not a spammer. If you look up “Part” fan always at 0%? on Google though, it should show the post that first reported the bug.

There have been other posts also commenting on a more recent bug in the sub, but since I was not having the problem at the time, I didn’t track those posts. I think it was more about a power issue RE: that bug though.

Indeed my part fan was not running. I did order a new one and wanted to tell you guys whether that was the solution (which probably is).

Thx for the hint i will try so start the old fan m . Mine was looking so in a bad shape that i just assumed it must be broken.

READ, commenting will not help.

@JonRaymond thx man. You were absolutely right. The fan is not broken but was set to be offline though.

I have found that you need to make it a habbit to check those types of settings, including the lighht
