Imprinting images on models

I recently downloaded a model to allow displaying a QR code. I want to somehow imprint the QR code for my venmo onto the model. Anyone know how I can do that?

Mahalo!

I don’t know if that’s possible unless you print a large QR Code. QR code is best read when at 300dpi which gives a 12dot per mm so need a 0.08 nozzle. Even with a 0.2 nozzle you should not be able to print a readable QR Code.

What’s the size of your QR Code?

Here you go. I use this.

This is poor advice IMO, QR code spec does not have to fit into a certain absolute size, it can be literally at any scale as long as readable. I can read a QR the size of a menu card or the size of a billboard, as long as it’s formatted. I used to print rickroll QR codes on the backside of things around 4cm x 4cm on an ender 3 and it worked great despite being black-on-less-shiny-black. Obtain your QR ideally as a SVG, and you can “emboss” it with an enormous amount of open source free tools (3d builder, tinkercad, prusaslicer, etc).

Thats a great tool. I sent the author a message about an enhancement to let the webapp preview show you the dot dimension the resultant code generated. With that extra piece of data, you will be able to tell if your nozzle is capable of producing those details, (near a whole number when divided by your line width, arachne can wiggle it) without having to load it into a slicer.

OK yes I can see where a large QR code should work
