Inaccurate dimensions?

So I have two problems on my A1 printer that I can’t seem to fix because I just simply don’t understand it enough. I will explain both problems and some ideas me and a friend of mine (who also has a Bambu printer) think I have with my printer.

Problem #1 - Large print dimensions inaccuracy
So I have been printing alot lately and I’m amazed by the precision of printing. But the first inaccurate problem was with a model I made myself. It was a model where multiple parts needed to assembled together. So I made sure to do my research about fit tolerance. I also did some tests to check if my parts were assembled without it to be tight or too loose.

So with alot of anxiety I was finally ready to print the big prints after all the research. What happened? One part didn’t fit into the other one. I had a fit tolerance of 0,5mm what was more than enough. So I measured the part that didn’t fit. Conclusion: it was 1mm longer than I modelled it.

I discussed this with my friend and he said that it maybe was the Y-axis tension belt or maybe the lubrication. But I just followed all the maintenance the printer told me to do. But I also found out that it was quite common to have a certain percentage of deviation in the dimensions. I see alot of 100,5% scaling but I couldn’t find out if I need to do it at a certain dimension? And I don’t want to modify my parts everytime I find out it’s not accurate. I just want my printer to print my model.

Problem #2 - Text transparency
The last couple of weeks I’ve been experimenting with text. And I wanted to try out my 0,2mm nozzle for finer detail. So the text on the upper half of my printer is transparent on the outlines. I wanted to check if it was a mistake in my settings or my model so I printed it 180 degrees to check if the problem would be the same.

As you can see on the image, all the parts that are nice and tight are printed on the lower half of the buildplate. And the other half the outlines are just transparent.

The white part is 5 layers high with a layer height of 0,08 mm. But it’s clear that the 2nd layer might be a little offsetted from the base layer. The strange thing is that the other side of the buildplate doesn’t have that problem. It’s printed from inner to outer order of walls. It begins with printing the white parts and after that the black parts.

So the question is: is this a tension belt problem of the Y-axis?

If someone can help me or has the same problem, let me know. I’ve uploaded the 3mf file also

Faulty text print.3mf (290,2 KB)

Sounds frustrating! Have you tried axis calibration for the size issue and z-offset tweaks for the text problem? Hope you get it sorted!

It kind of is exactly.

No I haven’t, are there any good guides to help me through this proces? Because I am new to this
