Incorrect display of the Silce results

I’m afraid you’ll not find much love among developers to solve such an issue. That’s because it falls into the annoyance category as opposed to functional disruption.

This is an example of sloppy coding that should have been caught in testing. This is something that would cost a Comp-Sci student at least one letter grade if they handed in such a program. They failed to take into account the dynamic field lengths. Annoying? Absolutely!!! Show-stopping? No.

I normally would suggest that one might have more luck posting this in the Orca Slicer Github suggestion box but this would fall into core-code bug not a feature enhancement. That would therefore leave it up to Bambu and as they have shown without wavering, this is Bambu is more concerned self-promotion of Makerworld and getting you to buy more filament. If you could somehow tie this request into a way of selling more filament… you might get their attention. Until then, this follows Bambu’s philosophy of chà bù duō.

BTW: This philosophy is so 180 degrees opposite of European quality expectations so it can be a serious point of frustration. In the US, you frequently hear the term “German Engineering” used in marketing when one wants to equate their product with quality. You never do hear the term “Chinese Engineering” and quality in the same sentenced do you? There’s a reason. It’s a pity because at launch point, I sincerely thought Bambu was going to be different than other Chinese companies. They started out engineering a better product but over time as we see in these forums, they have allowed other priorities to take over their manufacturing and customer service.
