I’m still trying to wrap my head around exactly how infill density is calculated.
I am printing a vase-like object which has thin outer walls (.8 mm), and a big base (10 mm high). I want the outer walls to be completely solid for strength, but the base can be pretty much hollow as long as it still has at least .8 walls.
Does my infill density selection affect those thin outer walls? In other words, if I select 20% infill I know it will make the base less solid, but will it also make the outer walls less solid as well? Is there an advantage to changing the wall loops number from the default 2?
