I just printed a model using jade white BL PLA Basic. The previous model was printed with red BL PLA Basic. There’s a noticeable pink tint. I’m using the stock purge volumes.
Do the purge volumes affect the purge at the beginning of a print? Does the required purge change as the nozzle ages. I have over 1000 hours on this nozzle. I’m not seeing other signs of a partial clog? It has been a while since I did a cold pull.
Red pigment is often hard to fully purge out at the beginning of a new print. If I’m printing something lightly coloured I’ll usually will print a part I really don’t care about the colour in-between to get it fully purge out.
The other option as you mentioned is to cold pull and manually purge it out. I also find (with abs at least) that the pigment can remain on the build plate and can transfer to the bottom of a lightly coloured part. A good scrub helps to remove the pigment.
