Firmware version 01.01.01 for the P2S was recently released. Since then, I’ve been having problems with filament flow. It only affects BambuLab’s own filaments. Generic filaments seem to be fine. Attached is an example printed with Bambu PETG HF using a 0.4 HF nozzle. The nozzle and filament path are both correct. Before the firmware update, it worked perfectly. Does anyone have any idea what might be going wrong? And yes, i had made a full calibration after the update.

Interesting, I noticed on a PLA 0.4 print the flow was a little light. Especially on the first layer. Following to see more feedbacks.

I noticed it as well, but not only for Bambu Filament, also for Generic PLA (Polyterra). Calibrated my P2S as well after the upgrade.

I’ve opened a ticket with Bambu. It seems to me that the extrusion multiplier in the P2S isn’t quite correct.

Glad there’s finally a post about this. I’ve also had some really messed up print quality that I thought coincided with the last firmware update. I tried to revert to the previous firmware as well as restore to factory but the nozzle clumping calibration failed and only works on the most recent firmware.
I have a ticket out to support as well.

I did open a ticket. Bambu thinks the flow is fine as it is. I should print the Bambu cubes. But they don’t represent reality. The surfaces are so small that the low flow isn’t noticeable. Here’s another truly awful example of a surface:

Does anyone have an idea to fix the first-layer issue? I already tried multiple things like line width and slowing down the first layer. Also tried multiple PLA filaments and all had the same issue.

Oh my gosh, after upgrading to 01.01.01 I‘m also getting worse upper surface.

Another affected user here, especially in top layers. For the first layer, modifying the G-code with G29.1 Z{0.00} (for the Textured PEI Plate) practically solves the problem (at least for me), but top layers it makes no sense, in specific areas of a piece I find under-extrusion, does not seem to be a flow issue, because you can have some areas that are clearly over-extruded, while other areas still show this problem. So I understand that there must be some underlying issue that Bambu hopefully will address because I can see many people complaning about this here and other comunities as Reddit.
I’ve enabled the developer settings and set Quality > Advanced > Initial layer flow ratio to 1.05, much better first layer for me.

In my case, I have absolutely no problem with the first layer. It’s only with the top layer, and only with BambuLab’s own filaments. All other generic filaments are fine. Yes, I could start experimenting with the system profiles. However, the basic settings from Bambu Studio and the printer should already be correct. I’ve already adjusted the filament system profiles for BambuLab filaments. But that’s not what I want if I’m already using Bambu.

Did you guys get any feedback from the ticket?
Support told me to clean the nozzle and extruder even though I clearly specified I had already done that.
They sent me a file with some alternate settings to try printing(which I have going right now but can already see the first layer is still showing under extrusion). I was unable to restore back to factory firmware. The only downloadable version on their firmware download page is 01.01.01.00. Is there anyway to get previous versions? I can access 01.01.00.00 via handy but not the original firmware the printer was shipped with.
Support told me they couldn’t see any problem with the print images. It was obvious to me. I won’t escalate it any further.
Regarding the firmware: I wouldn’t recommend the initial firmware anyway. It was missing some basic P2S functions. Only the first update was satisfactory. I don’t think version 01.01.01 is very good. But I’m not going to bother downgrading.
Oh, and I find the Bambu test cube completely unsuitable for evaluating anything, especially surfaces. They’re far too small. Apparently, though, this cube is the go-to tool for Bambu in terms of quality.
I have to revise mine complain. I have printed some new models trough bambu handy and the printout was without any issue.
Today I repeated some old print recaling it from printer storage and it is in exact same quality as before update.
It seems the issues I do have are more Bambu Studio Slicer related or some Setting in there. Other printouts are not affected

j’ai eu les mêmes problèmes et l’ouverture d’un ticket. finalement entre deux réponses, j’ai fait une calibration manuelle qui m’a changé le PA à 0.026 et j’avais vérifié aussi que le flow devait passé à 1.02. Il y a clairement un problème même si Bambu m’a confirmé que c’était normal. Sur la première couche, ça n’influence pas beaucoup mais sur la finition ça peut être un peu léger. Surtout si je compare à mes A1.
Here’s a print from today using Bambu PLA Basic Black. I deliberately printed it with Bambu Handy to see if the surface finish would be better. It isn’t. Frankly, it’s awful. I can’t use it like this. All the surfaces are bad.
Do you think resetting the printer would help? Or would it be better to just revert to the previous firmware version?
Have you calibrated the filament flow rate?
