Interlocking beam feature - how to only target specific filaments

Hi guys, I designed a case for my shaver. I’m using PLA for the case and TPU for the inlay. The interlocking feature is great to mix TPU and PLA, especially those 2 types of filaments don’t really adhere to each other.

You can see that the interlocking feature works great here: (TPU is black, PLA is grey)

I also designed the top cover with text, which I’m gonna print with PLA as well.

The problem is, by activating the interlocking beam feature, it is also doing the interlocking thing for my PLA top cover parts, which I don’t really need. (Grey, dark grey and green are PLA).

Is there a way to tell Bambu Studio to only do it when the materials are not the same?
I tried to add the modifier to target the specific height of my model, but the interlocking feature isn’t available in the modifier settings.

Is there a way to do it currently?

Thanks!

I’d also like to see this feature added (ability to turn beam interlocking on/off with a modifier primitive).
