Here we have on github TengerTechnologies/Bricklayers
Itās a custom script, so itās not automatically integrated into anything. This is more like an alpha test of the script. I wouldnāt be surprised to see Orca integrate it in the future, provided the patent trolls donāt manage to stomp it out. After that, maybe Bambu picks it up, or maybe not⦠things are a little rocky on that front at the moment!
All this nonsense with patents is like a dog in the manger. It doesnāt eat itself and doesnāt let others eat it. If you bought a patent, implement it or lose all rights to it. In general, this is a big stupidity - they lay brickwork according to this principle, no one is outraged by any patents. Just do it and thatās it, if you need it more than the fat cats who only interfere with ordinary people
As it turns out, Orca is working on this currently. The current version is having issues, so it may be quite a ways off, but there are people actively developing it.
Great update!
Itās now available for bambu
Thereās a new video
Okay, can you please tell me where this setting is located? I only found āUse beam interlockingā under the tab āOthersā but according to its description it is for interlocking different materials.
CNC Kitchen released a new video that it is available for orca slicer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDgA51zdfLc
In this context, āavailableā doesnāt mean merged into the stable version. Personally, I have enough problems in my life without downloading pre-beta versions of things, but Iām not trying to generate YouTube content. Your mileage, and your comfort with troubleshooting potentially buggy code, may vary.
Hereās a link to the pull request on github. Itās a work in progress, but it sounds like itās getting closer.
iāve been trying to compile that version for MacOS, but unfortunately my code-fu is non existent. I think my dev/path to Cmake environment isnt set up properly.
But iām excited to give it a shot.
