I been seeing this issue where I will print once (or a few times) and it prints perfect and then I will get a print or two that look like have severe under extruding. No setting changes or even if I print the same thing twice in a row with literally doing nothing but clicking “Print” after removing the previous print from the bed, first one is perfect and second one is bad (pics below).
I tore apart the hot end and extruder assembly and everything looks good. My guess is maybe a thermistor or circuit going bad? I also noticed a burning smell and thought I had a clog at first which now I am wondering if that’s true but caused by poor temperature regulation for the reasons mentioned above. But when the issue happens, it seems to happen during a print and starting a new print magically it is fine again. I also have seen it absolutely stop extruding during a print too.
