Pretty pissed off this morning as I had a model taken down that blatantly copied my exclusive popular model and combined it with another persons exclusive model. I provided video of my design being built as requested and provided all other documentation linking to the other stolen designers model.
They took it down for about a month then the thief filed a response and showed him copying almost 100% of the other designers model in tinkercad. Then added a pre built part from tinkercad to resemble my concept.
Really makes me not want to share models here if they wont protect you as they claim. I had mine up since Nov 2024 and only found the thief about a month ago and saw he copied me back in Feb 2025 he stole approx 1500 points via boosts and downloads
Its very frustrating that exclusive models arent as protected as makerworld claims them to be. The concept should be protected from copying, but they wont unless you hire an attorney to fight it which obviously isn’t worth the cost.
I have reached out to the other designer and encouraged them to file IP violation as well. I hope they do. Thieves do not deserve to be rewarded

Concepts are protected by patents and a patent is not automatically created like copyright protection is.

i get that but again they claim as an exclusive design they will protect us, they obviously saw it as infringement as they took it down, but their policy is weak and any simple response can reverse their decision… just kind of kicks you in the teeth when they allow such behavior to continue

Wrong my chopsticks were designed from scratch with tinkercad and nomad sculpt and were originally 1 piece, I only made them 2 piece after so many struggled to print the one piece and that was still before this person stole my concept those are nothing like mine but nice try troll. the person in question has the same exact hinge and chopstick as the other designer. Ignored BTW TROLL

Yeah, call me a troll for calling you out. Facts are facts. you model was posted months after the one I posted and I didn’t even look hard. How you modeled and when doesn’t matter to Bambu. Look, you made out well, you reported someone and Bambu took it down. Enjoy your success

2 posts back, you said concepts should be protected from copying.
2 years back, someone posted that chopstick model to thingiverse. 20 years ago, someone made them and sold them in gas stations.
Do you not see the disconnect?
Anyways, I hope you’ve learned that platform owners are not your friends nor are they reliable business partners, don’t put your eggs in one basket yadd yadda
