My A1 is like 3 months old. I checked the belt and noticed that it doesn’t have tooth like the one sold in their store.
Is this natural?
Did the new A1s shiped with x axis belt with no tooth?
Or are ther parts of the belt with no tooth?

I already confirmed it. Half is flat, half has tooth.The part of the belt passing through the stepper motor has tooth and the belt passing to the idler pulley doesn’t have a tooth.

That’s weird but you are right. Tooth doesn’t exist on left side of the extruder on my a1. Seems like an strange way to save money by not putting teeth on the whole belt but ok.
Teeth going over the idler pulley would cause vibration and noise. Smooth part prevents that vibration and noise. Does not save any money. Makes a better product.
