I have a model where I need two areas of support:
- A rectangular area on the bottom of the model, where I have a small indentation for insetting a piece of foam tape
- A couple of angled overhangs towards the top of the model
I’ve printed it two ways:
- Using PETG for both the model and the supports
- PETG for the model, PLA for the support interface w/ 0mm offset
What I’ve found is that for the overhangs, Having PLA as the support interface isn’t really necessary. But it’s really nice for getting the support out of the inset on the bottom of the model.
So what I would like to do, is configure my project such that only the supports at the very bottom of the model use PLA as the support interface material w/ 0mm z offset, and the rest of the model, just use PETG as the support interface with the default z offset.
I can’t seem how to configure this though. It seems like even if I use a support enforcer, I can only have support settings that are global for the entire model. Does anyone know how to do this? Is this even possible?
