P1S in lan only mode, but on latest firmware. No AMS connected - external spool only. Printing same plate of objects on P2S and P1S at the same time. P2S has skip parts option available and P1S does not have the icon at all. Neither are doing time lapsing, recording, nor am I even using the camera if that matters. Why is the Skip Parts button missing on the P1S now? Even my A1 Mini has it… all in LAN mode. Using Bambu Studio 2.6.0.51. Same plate was sent to both printers in the same session of bambu studio - I just switched the printer and sent the job. So I presume all other factors are off the table and this is purely some wonkiness with the P1S. For a 12 hour print to be missing this sucks pretty bad.
You might need to download and configure bambu connect to manage it from there. Different exe.
I have bambu connect, but it does not detect my printers as it does not allow you to type in an IP, it only offers discovery of multicast which is disabled on a lot of networks now-a-days.
I’ve never used a P1, so I may be misinformed, but…
The P1 printers do not have a touch screen to show the objects being printed on the screen or to select which objects to skip, so I do not see how object-skipping from the printer could work. Even if the printer displayed a list of object names, they are often identical.
Do you need to update your firmware ? plus lan mode = no cloud service
I am in lan mode, yes, but I am on the most recent firmware 1.10.0.0. I could swear that I’ve been able to use the skip parts button on Bambu Studio in the past, but it may have been on my A1 or A1 mini.
I sent the current plate to both my P1S and P2S and the P2S DOES have the skip part button. The P1S does not. Ironically, one of the parts came loose on the P1S and I’m just suffering through it. 12 hour job. sighs
FYI, the skip part option only available in the Bambu Handy mobile app.
It is incredibly frustrating to be forced to open the mobile app when I’m already looking at a failing part in Bambu Studio on my PC… but it is what it is.
So, since I’ve moved to lan only mode - I no longer can skip parts on my p1s??
Bambu connect on your PC and Handy on your smartphone are the two possible ways on a P1S, so yes, if you use neither of those you will not skip
