Is the clicking sound when extruding normal?

this is normal, the clicking noise is the printer retracting the filaments, it can also happen when you are going full speed with a too low temperature, but every time the nozzle moves to another area, it makes a click to lift the filament to prevent overflow from coming out and ruining the print. all a1 series do it naturally. however, if you are printing something and all the extruder is doing is moving in a straight line, back and fourth without lifting, there should be no clicking, if it clicks on a large flat surface, either turn down the speed or turn up the temperature, because that will ruin your print.
