According to this video above, you have to buy a air compressor to do soda blast.
Is there any other alternative technique to remove PLA or PETG from the hotend without soda blast?
heat it to 100 and use a pair of pliers/cutters to pry it off, petg especially is satisfying to remove like that, reminds of removing white glue from hands after drying.

Not specific to H2 - but heat is the answer, and a good glove is the secret tool.
Use your brain, dont get anything hotter than it would get during normal operation, and you’ll be just fine. Use the machine’s own nozzle heater if possible
Thanks!! Do you mean heating up the hotend using H2D heat nozzle? and remove PETG on the hotend right after take the hotend off from H2D?

PLA and PETG will both be soft at 100-120C, just not drippy and fluid like they would be at their normal nozzle printing temp. Ripe for picking. If its just crud youre cleaning youll be surprised how easy it comes off once heat is applied. But feel free to go to normal printing temp. Have good gloves!
Sandblasting seems like moon logic here, if this guys scared of molecules of polymer remelting and re-adhering to the nozzle’s backing, you can just melt them all and wipe them all away, no need to attack it as a solid
Remove the hotend. Use a flame (match, candle, lighter, etc.) to heat it while holding the filament stub with pliers. The weight of the hotend will pull the filament out.
Bah gloves… Just use a pair of plier cutters, comeon, your fingers are not even close there you have infinitely more movement freedom. Why handle a hot “tip” like a snowman trying to hold a red coal, when its comfortably mounted on a huge box+rail that you can grab instead?

Ditch gloves, feel what you are doing , dont make your life harder and brain smaller.

Those blue rubber dipped gloves are like crack cocaine to my aging body. Not ideal for thermal but good enough for a nozzle, too

Right. Remove the nozzle first.
why would you remove it? you barely press the pliers and the cake is gonna come off. you wont be wiggling the thing like you wanna break its neck , why would you disassemble everything to make it hot with a blowtorch when you have a perfect heater designed for exactly making it hot, while also sitting in a seat designed precisely to keep it from moving and unintentionally touching things.
Not to mention that in the even of a clog there have been reports of nozzles exploding when heated with blowtorches, so please, next time provide the appropriate warnings if you suggest that again.
