I recently got a new Bambu Labs A1, and some of my prints started turning out like this. I tried drying the filament, and it sort of worked. Im also printing on the " Standard" speed settings. Here is the other things I am printing with:
Printer: A1 No AMS
Slicer Settings: Used slicer settings off of Makerworld
Filament: Bambu Labs PLA Matte, White

Any help is appreciated! Mahalo!

It suggests you could try any layer height with a big range, which did you opt for?
Does this occur if you print a test cube?
- Create a new project
- Right click the build plate in the prepare tab and choose test cube (not version 2).
- Print it using your matte white
Does this have the same issue?
The reason I ask is the model uses a rendered main image and a poor quality printed image that has a distorted central area around the mouth, your model doesn’t. I’m wondering if it is the model.
I know you said it happens on other things, but,I expect this is the worst as you provided an image of this and the others are simply matte texture differences to non-matte material.
I used all the default settings on Bambu Studio with a 0.2 Layer height. Here is a photo of some of the layer height settings:
Does this mean that its an issue with the model itself, and not my printer? Thank you again for your help
Looking at your model image, this is a design choice by the artist. You can see it as on the image if you zoom in. Does not appear to be anything wrong with your printer.
PS - I like the look of it!
I believe it is the model.
Confirm it using the test cube print I recommend you try to test things.
I think I have a similar thing happening. This is across all models. I’m not sure what to do. I’ve re-tensioned all belts. I’ve taken apart the hotend and tightened the back and front screws, afterwards running all calibrations. This is a new A1 and I’m new to Bambu.
If anyone has any suggestions for me to try I’d love to hear it. I went through the two filament calibrations and this also has not fixed anything. This is using a .4 nozzle, with the standard .2 layer height. Speed left alone at 100%.
Support told me “nothing is wrong” and the subreddit yells at you that you don’t know what you’re doing with very little help. I can’t post pictures here yet… I’m not sure what else to do.
Ah, had to go through the discobot tutorial. Here’s what I’m seeing.
Try and print a test cube. This looks like Z banding to me, but since you said you already tightened your axis’s it could be something else.
I actually printed the exact same models in the first 2 images and I have not yet come across results like those in the 2 exact models I have printed. What did Bambu support say it was other than your printer wasn’t broken?
So before seeing your response I thought I would try one more thing, removing the AMS lite top mount. I just printed a cube and it looks perfect, so I’m hopeful that was it. Going to print more stuff to see if it’s fixed.
The top mount serves as a space saver, unfortunately the printer was never designed to have so much weight so poorly balanced on a device without outriggers or something else to increase the stability of a device that also literally throws its weight around during usage.
