I printed something last night, face down (hopefully viewable below). This is the first layer and I was thinking it looked really poor, considering the first layer is slow. What causes the occasional lines that are slightly raised - and is that normal or is there something I can adjust to reduce/remove it?
Having said all of that, the final layer a few millimetres above looks brilliant - and the upper face, once removed looks fantastic!
The slicer slightly over extrudes the first layer so it gets a good “squish” into the texture so a first layer like this is relatively normal.
You may be able to dial first first layer in a little more with filament calibration but honestly, if the final part is coming out good, I wouldn’t worry about it.
