First off: new to printing as in less than 4 months.
Printer is the A1 with ams.

Bambu labs Silk pla print settings, nothing changed
I am trying to print coins for my DND group using a model I found online. I reduced the coins sized to 75% to get more coins per print.
The issue I’m having I believe is heat creep causing the filament to swell and jam the nozzle. I am (so far) only having the issue with the copper silk pla,I printed silver coins in bambu labs silver silk pla with no issues. The print will start and run for a couple hours just fine, I’ll go to work or wake up only to find the printer moving with no filament coming out. I cant pull the filament out of the nozzle till its cooled completely, sometimes needing to cut the filament and remove the nozzle to get the piece out.
So the question is, what do I need to do to get this print to work with this filament? Or is it a lost cause and I need a different filament?
Perform a complete bed leveling, it is recommended to run a full bed leveling in calibration to ensure that the nozzle height from the build plate is appropriate. If the problem is still not resolved after complete leveling, it is possible that the hotend heating assembly screw is loose, or the lower part of the hotend is stripped out, causing the hotend to be pushed down some distance by the extrusion force to get closer to the heat bed.
The copper silk PLA from Bambu does the same thing to me. I am roasting mine in the filament dryer and will try it one more time. It seems like something is wrong with this color/batch. Let me know if you figure anything out!
I plan on submitting a ticket, but it jammed my A1 bad enough I had to disassemble the tool head. It being my first time I lost some screws and spacers, so I’ve had to order replacements.
Like I said nearest I can tell it’s swelling due to the heat and jamming in the heat break section of the nozzle. And I haven’t had the issue with silk silver or silk dual color before it.
Silk PLA is “swelling” or you can also say it “foams” when it gets out of the nozzle compared to normal PLA Filament.
Would be interesting to know what causes this issue, I also print a lot with silk filament, maybe this copper batch has an issue
Haven’t seen any foam. It would start to print normally, then the filament wouldn’t be flowing anymore but the printer had kept “printing”. I’d stop it and try to pull the filament out but was unable to, so I’d heat up the nozzle as hot as I could and still couldn’t push the filament through, had to cut it, pull the nozzle, and pull it out with pliers.
I read the term “foaming” for Silk PLA somewhere a while ago when I first used it, excuse me if that confuses. Maybe this is just for my Dual Color Silk Filament, i saw this on my old printer the Prusa Mk3s+ when it comes out of the nozzle (when you load the filament) it expands a bit or you can say the volume increases.
