Im having issues with the layer attached to the supports on this print. No matter which direction I try to print it the bottom layer is always a mess. I adjust the top z layer and bottom layer speed but I can’t figure why it’s happening. any advice would be greatly appreciated. The first picture is from printing it standing up and the second picture was laying down with the smooth portion being the bottom.

I don’t know if this will help, but, I was recently looking into the same issue. I found this but have not tried it. It details using PETG for the support layer and claims to provide cleaner prints and separation.
