Weird, I had this sorta happen just now; seems a bit opportunistic because there are several remixes of my SPILLPROOF AMS desiccant boxes, all of them legitimate and fair; mine are remixes too in the first place; all use the correct Creative Commons license and credit the original or have an easy to follow chain to the original through mine.
But this person just designed something completely different and gave it the same name as mine, marked it as a remix, and even credited me which is kind of them but it’s not my card; I explained this and haven’t heard back yet. Mostly wondering though: AITAH? Or should I pursue it?
I know I don’t own any copyright on the term SPILLPROOF, but several YouTubers tell their viewers to search makerworld for SPILLPROOF to find these boxes, so using the same name and remix attribution for something not using the same means to MAKE it SPILLPROOF, is disingenuous IMHO.
