Jeep CJ7 RC Crawler

Almost finished with my RC crawler project,

This turned out to be a 10th scale Jeep CJ, and pretty reasonably scale in my opinion.

I designed all of the parts, including the TSL Boggers!

The motor is a cheap 12v gear reduction motor (200rpm). It gives good crawling speed, and can do a slow walk pace at full speed. The transfercase is a 1 to 1 ratio, and the axles are 3 to 1.

I used bearings in the axles and at the wheel flanges, as well as in the transfer case. The leaf springs are PETG, and after several revisions, seem to work pretty well!

I am printing a second version with fixes- (Such as- I used separate details for the suspension mounts to allow adjustment during prototyping). I plan to add more detail bits as well, interior bits and (probably non-functioning) lights, etc.

So far I’ve played around a bit, and everything seems reasonably durable in PLA!

Tires are Varioshore TPU (I printed in regular tpu as well, similar, the varioshore just has a nicer look)
Leaf springs are PETG
Body mounts are TPU
Rest is currently all PLA!

I made use of Bambu’s maker hardware on this one, lots of m1.6 and m2 self tapping screws, as well as m2 shoulder bolts and locknuts for the shackles.
