Today I got a 0.2 mm nozzle today for my Bambu A1. It feels a bit loose when held only by the magnet (unlike the 0.4 mm), but once the clip is locked it stays solid.
However, I’ve had all sorts of printing issues. After a full day of testing, raising the bed temp to 72 °C improved adhesion on the textured PEI plate (the only one I have). I also bumped up the nozzle temp and slowed down to 50 % speed, which finally let me complete some test prints.
The nozzle still jiggles slightly up and down while extruding. If I don’t increase the temperature, the gears start clicking like there’s a clog (even though there isn’t). It even came loose once and triggered a nozzle temperature error.
So I’m wondering: could it be a defective nozzle, or is this normal for 0.2 mm? Any tips to improve performance are appreciated.

It is possible it still is t seated correctly.
I recommend removing it and then putting it back again. Taking care to sit it flat before pushing both clasps back onto the nozzle securing it in place.
I have never had an issue with a nozzle of any size, yet occasionally it is very slightly seated incorrectly.
I would not imagine a brand new nozzle would be defective in the way it would cause any wobble.
If once remove it looks straight all sides around, I would imagine you are safe.

Thanks for your quick answer, I tried that a couple of times, I recorded a short video that hopefully shows what I mean, it moves a bit up and down as if the filament was stuck, still, I just printed a little detailed piece with no problem. I don’t think that’s normal and I’m sure the piece is in place.
Nevermind that terrible first layer, it was a bad test!
were you able to figure out why this is happening, i have the same issue and can not get anything to print with my .2 nozzle. i can get the first layer to sometimes print by holding the nozzle up and preventing it from pushing in to the build plate, can it be fixed with a z offset?
With a higher temperature and a better PLA brand, yes.
Also printing WAY, WAY slower than the default… but I don’t really love it. I’m trying to print very detailed superhero sculptures and I get better results with 0.4 right now, but I’ll get there.
