šŸ’” Kitchen Contest SubmissionšŸ’”

I can’t even get a Safety Data Sheet for Bambu brand filaments. They are not posted anywhere that I can find. I sent Bambu a message asking for them (which they are legally required to provide) about 2 weeks ago and haven’t gotten a response. Anyone know if any of the Bambu filaments are food safe?

These are at walmart already, people buy them.

It’s on each filament page

Which filament do you use food friendly? Sins 3d print is made layer byy layer isnt a problem that germs stuck betweeen layers?

Even if you print food safe filaments, your printer isn’t food safe if you ever printed a non food safe filament or used non food safe lubrication.

And even if you had all these things checked, a 3d print is generally still not considered food safe because of the layer lines, which are impossible to clean.

That’s why I really don’t think any food / kitched related contests are a good idea, there are many problematic designs on MakerWorld and Bambu Lab never really addressed this issue.

See this article for reference.

No print is food-safe without surface coating

And with a platform like MakerWorld, you know that 99%+ of users will never follow the instructions to make them food safe.
