Laser - max object size

Hey all,

I am trying to etch some object I printed, roughly a cube shape 140x140x140. Coming to use the measure function to set focus, the device lifted the bed to happily drive the object into the laser head, knocking the entire laser off the head.

Is there some way to etch objects that are not flat? The wiki talks about curved surfaces, but following the steps outlined there doesn’t show the option at all.

Any help appreciated.

When I’m engraving/cutting taller objects, I’ve learned to set the height manually to thickness to 200mm or more. Then use the camera and finally measure do a targeted measure of where I’m trying to engrave.

I’ve had the laser pop off twice when engraving the bottom of wine glasses, after changing to the above process, I haven’t had the issue since.

I have an H2S, so I can’t use the 3d-mesh feature, hopefully it comes to the H2S soon.

Thanks! where do you set the height manually?

On the prepare screen on the right it is called Thickness.
