Launching calibration and heating to get the printer ready?

Hello there

I’m wondering either it would be possible to force launching a calibration + pre-heating, so that the printer gets ready to print ?

I often happen to be in this situation where I’m starting a quick modeling, and I would love to be able to tell the printer to get ready, so that a few minutes later, when I’m done, I can click “print” and boom it starts printing directly.

Any ideas ?

Hello,
This should be possible in 2 different ways, but both of them may be a bit annoying.

Option 1. Just delete Calibration from start g-code. You should just be able to remove the XY Mech and extrusion testing with minimal issues in the part, which should be fine with simple or aesthetic parts.

Option 2. Use Bambu’s “Farm Manager” Software(Bambu Farm Manager Quick Start Guide | Bambu Lab Wiki)
Now, I have never used the Software before but from the Wiki is shows various screenshots of buttons labeled “Prepare” with a heatbed and bed levelling sign, so I assume that is what the button does and seems to address your issue perfectly.

So, they seem to be the only options I know so far, But this would certainly be a nice feature to have more integrated into slicers and would definitely safe a lot of people a lot of time
