Layer BULGE through ENTIRE part, whenever there's a Bridge somewhere

Bambu Lab X1CC on newest firmware (~2 months old printer), brand new 0.4mm nozzle + FULL calibration done. OrcaSlicer 2.0.0. Printing VERY slow (30/100 on inner/outer walls - rest of settings are stock for “0.2mm layer strong” or “0.2mm Standard”). Various PLA filaments properly dried + Pressure Advance and Flow Rate set per-filament.

Posted this twice on the Discord with nobody chiming in so thought I’d post here with two examples.

Seems whenever there’s a slight bridge going on, on the top of that bridge, that ENTIRE LAYER bulges - even on the very far side of the print nowhere near the bridge itself.

Example 1 (IGNORE the top of the print, had a nozzle jam). Right side I circled is a common hole for a pin to be inserted - the top of that is NOT supported. You can see the bulging layer throughout the ENTIRE print on that topmost bridge area. Happens every time, no matter which filament I use.

Example 2 is a picatinny rail for a Nerf blaster. This is less than the above, but you can still see how EVERY rail section (where it bridges) has that slight bulge where all those bridges are:

What can be done to eliminate or lessen this effect? Has been happening since the printer was new, and found MANY other posts on this - but no definitive solution posted. Thanks.

Hi,

Can you share the sliced preview for layer time, flow, and speed at the bulge layer?

Did you ever figure this out? I am experiencing the same issue.
