Layer shift on really tall and thin parts

I’m experiencing some really bad layer shift on some tall and thin parts on my H2C.

Excuse the really poor screenshot, the parts are 2mm thick and about 300mm tall and i’m seeing the part nearly split in two bits once printed.

The part is in PETG with cooling off to prevent any wobble, luckily the part is staying firmly on the bed so that’s not causing it.

Is there an easy way to prevent it from layer shifting? I did wonder if I can paint supports on to prevent skew but with theres nowhere for the supports to touch if that makes sense.

I designed it in cad so i’m guessing model some manual supports onto it? If thats the issue…

This is the part, but I’ve had to split it into two pieces to fit the bed.

I am printing it upright because the whole thing is fully lofted at strange angles and I need it to have no ridges on it which is what I would get if printing flat. If that makes sense?
