the attached file link is from some modified stuff for BLUEY, done by MIKA (mika, excellent job)
but question - the layer settings are at 0.2 mm.
BUT, the layers in PREVIEW are different. ecample - 7.6, 7.66, 7.78, 7.8, 7.94, 8, 8.06
WHY is it not staying at 0.2 layer height? I actually created a NEW 3MF file and COPIED all the STL files into it, and still have this issue? Any assistance appreciated, to understand this

As I suspected, it’s the supports that are changing the layer heights. Turn off supports and it slices normally. Turn off Independent Support Layer Height and it will keep the .2 layer height.

wow, thank you very much ! I learn something new every day. since i only had certain OBJECTS with supports, the main profile SuPPORT option was not turned orange, so i did not bother to look in that column, but i guess that option (independent support layer heights ) is turned ON by default.
NOW, another question - DOES this create any problems (leaving that option ON), what does the INDEPENDENT SUPPORT LAYER height do? does it make the support more finely tuned, such as , a support under a hand, for example, where the hand starts at 8.1 mm, instead of 8.2 mm?
is there any DISADVANTAGE to leaving it on?
thanks for feedback !
I have never had an issue leaving it on. In fact I personally have never turned it off.
thanks ! AT LEAST I know what is doing it.!
