I have printed an AMS riser and want to put a Led strip in it. Is there a 6-pin to USB conversion available anywhere? I would like the led strip to turn on when I turn on the X2D.
This page says that the 6-pin molex connector provides 24V DC and ground over 2 of the pins.

It’s not going to be a good idea to plug a USB connector to that. 24V DC is a lot more than 5V DC.
That said, you can use it to power a 24V LED strip. I picked up a Biqu Panda Lux LED strip for my A1. If you bypass the light sensor, it will light up when the machine switches on.

Yes, as long as you connect the red wire from the LED strip to the 24V DC pin and the black pin to the ground pin. Just be sure to make the terminal connections secure and safe. If you accidentally short the connection then you run the risk of damaging the printer port.
There is a spare mini molex port on the AP board for a led strip. Its right next to where the other 2 led strips are plugged in.

And what is the voltage of the port so I can buy the correct led strip?
the whole cover pops off; it just has clips holding it on. Unsure on voltage, I know it’s there because I’m dealing with a Wi-Fi issue currently, however if it’s the same as the built in LED light, it shows 5V, double check to be sure.
You might want to look through older posts about lighting for the X1C.
I added my riser lighting from unused 24VDC terminals on the power supply and an electronic relay triggered by the chamber light.
My X2D gets a little warm when idle. Right around
the spot in the photo above… top left. Is this normal? Or does the printer need to be unplugged all the time?
The led strips are 24V. If you sre handy you could just solder some wires from the led strip solder pads (the exposed strip directly above the door).
Bought a 5V led strip with it’s own usb plug so will not pull power from X2D.
