Lightning like raised lines on prints, appreciate any help!

Pla Basic

Standard pla bambu settings, 15% infill, 2 walls etc

Had a plate of these printing, and each object had identical print errors, of this weird raised lightning like pattern. Nozzle isn’t loose, cleaned the printer and ran calibration. Have tried different spools of filament as well. have printed different objects on the same printer and there same issue persists.

Normally, I would now ask whether you printed the large area right next to the enclosure fan set to 100%. - Besides, it would only be from one side…

However, it appears so remarkably uniform that it almost begs the question: Are you certain that it is not due to the model itself? The flaws are just too perfectly arranged.

yeah its almost like its part of the sliced file is so consistent. Uploaded the 3mf, but even doing just a primitive square or rectangle comes up with these jagged lines

I looked at the 3MF file, so the problem isn’t with the 3D model or the settings - those are fine. Just a tip: I would set the wall thickness to at least 3, but that’s not the problem. The settings are fine.

This, of course, means that the problem must lie elsewhere. Perhaps someone else has an idea and will write about it. Off the top of my head, I would try the following:

You can also check this pretty quickly: the screws on the tool head, to make sure they haven’t come loose. I don’t think that’s the reason, but it’s very easy to check.

The pattern could also suggest that there are problems with the position, maybe, causing the belt to skip teeth. Unlikely, but possible. However, I would first ask you:

Is this a new printer, or has it already been in use for several hundred hours? When did the problem start?

Checked the screws and they’re nice and tight

Printer has a little over 4,000 hours so definitely not new, problem started just a few days ago

Wow, really wierd and really regular. Also checked the 3mf and agree w/ Retro that nothing jumps out as wrong [ both settings and geometry ].

If this ends up at supports doorstep, please share what ended up fixing it.

Okay, I need to correct my statement about the belt: After all this time, it could actually be the source of the problem.

After that time, you should check to see if any teeth are missing or rounded off. Alternatively, the gears, but experience shows that the belt tends to break first. After such a long time, it may well be that it the belt become brittle.

Check the belt idlers and gears to be sure there isn’t a piece of filament caught in them. My best guess…

Support said to run manual calibration, the firsts et came out all almost identically rough, but moving on to step 2, the prints had really smoothed out and I ended up choosing like -2 of those, and then did a test print and it was all fixed!
