Good day everyone… Around a year ago I printed a lithograph of my 10 y/o. This particular print ended up printing w/ the subject raised from the surface of the lithograph. Unfortunately, I don’t remember what settings I used, but I’m fairly certain it was the frameless print, and I don’t think I did any other enhancements to the model itself in Makerworld. Now I’m working on another project, but this time the subjects are, for lack of a better explanation, recessed into the surface of the lithograph, w/ no other enhancements selected. I think the detail was finer and looked better w/ the subject raised from the main surface. Does anyone happen to know what setting exactly was changed, or how I can get the lithograph to print w/ this raised subject effect? I’ve tried the framed, frameless, I’m not sure what I am doing different this time. ALSO, the framed model I am working on right now sits horizontally on its long end. The cut-out for the power cord for the frame, only sits one end, which places the cord outlet on the side of the frame. Are there any other frames that have the cut-out on the bottom, or perhaps is there a print option I am missing to move the cut-out?
use itslitho or lithophanemaker tools they make it simple, defaults seem to work pretty well
Thank you Victor… I may try that next time, but just an update to my original post after playing around w/ the print and the frame a bit. I got the final result we were looking for. W/ the standard download from MakerWorld, this light panel worked: Amazon.com: CMYK Lithophane LED Backlight Board Kit Compatible with Bambulab A1/A1 mini Combo/P1P/P1S/X1C/X1E AMS 3D Printer for 3D Printed Photo Model Light Board : Industrial & Scientific. It needs a bit of trimming on the end and the side opposite of the plug in, but managed to get it to fit in the frame, and I’m very satisfied w/ how it turned out. I tried the light strip, but it made the picture appear to have polka dots. Perhaps it was supposed to be mounted differently, but the light panel looks much better and was a plug and play w/ the MakerLab frame, despite having to trim it a bit.
