I was hoping someone could help me out with this issue I’m having. When printing on one of my A1 mini’s I have there are these little pins that appear.
I think it’s specific to this A1 mini. I swapped the SD card with an older A1mini and it prints flawlessly. I’ve tried a couple different retractions without success. I have also tried multiple rolls of filament. Any help would be great.
This can happen with nozzle clumping detection, as the printer goes to the far right to check for a clump and comes back to the print, which can result in some oozing. It’s best to disable nozzle clump detection, and ensure you regulary clean the build plate with dish soap and water to prevent adhesion issues, to not have blobs form on the nozzle.
However, if you want to keep nozzle clump detection enabled, then you can have a prime tower next to your print, however it would be quite wasteful in materials.
I turned the nozzle clumping detection off on the machine. The pins went away. As a control measureI turned the nozzle, clumping detection back on, and the pin came back. Thank you both for your help, I learned two new things for future troubleshooting.
Thanks for confirming, I really wish more posters would do that if someone helps out,
I came on just now to ask the same question, saw you had the same issue and once I can find out how to switch the detection to Off we’ll both be sorted, I’m sure there will be others after me
