Loading filament

Hello,

I have p2s with ams ht, and I want to print pa6-gf. When loading the filament the printer starts to feed the filament when the nozzle temperature is too low causing it to skip. And then keeps repeating the cycle. Is it possible to change the temperature of the nozzle before the filament loading? When the nozzle is hotter it successfully loads and printers the filament. But the main problem is loading the filament it takes many attempts since the temperature is not appropriate in my opinion.

In the P2S Machine start Gcode, the code appears to say the nozzle temp goes to the material initial layer temperature prior to loading - but there’s a ton of code for different scenarios.

What temperature is the nozzle at when it’s trying to load? That will help figure out what’s going wrong.

One should not have to manually change the nozzle temperature before loading the filament. Something else is going on, or a bug report should be sent to BL. Have you opened a ticket?

Ir starts to load at 230-240c

Hi,

“But the main problem is loading the filament it takes many attempts since the temperature is not appropriate in my opinion.

Sorry but is this your opinion only, or do you get any error message suggesting this is the reason?

I dont think its about to change anything with the automatic filament process. First of all, the AMS is pushing the filament first. Does not matter how hot the nozzle is. Then, when nozzle is enough hot, AMS will push it to the printer extruder, and THEN the printer’s extruder grabs it and put is to the hot nozzle. To do old filement purging out, new filament push in, flow calibration, etc.

If your filement process stops at specific steps, its definitely NOT becuse of in Bambulab fabric they dont know what nozzle temperature is good for filament loading, and you have to change it. No

So I would check error messages, and give us more specific details. How (Where?) the filament stops? At the end of AMS house? At the filament buffer on the back of the printer? Etc …

Yes it shows error failed to load filament in ams ht…

The filament goes up to the nozzle then ams ht skips returns the filament repeats many times and gives error message failed to load filament

Mine is doing similar. The filament pushes into the extruder then reject and pushes back. Does this multiple times then comes up with an error. I am suspecting it to be the filament sensor?

Ir only does this with pa6-gf filament other filaments no problem.
