There is a light underneath the actual tool head and I wish you could turn off the two big lights and only keep on the nozzle head so then it has still a tiny bit of AI detection, but we less light levels, especially when you’re sleeping and the printer is nearby. Note the printer is multiple rooms away and when I keep the big lights on, it’s like there’s a sun in the other room
Only having a “tiny bit of AI detection” means a high likelyhood of false negatives so you are better off going without it. You could try tinting the glass on the printer or adding an under door insulation or “door snake” to reduce light coming from the room.
Yes maybe still be nice to you able to keep that one light on at least for time lapse there are no doors holding that room back from me. It’s separate rooms but it’s open floor space.
You could tape paper over the door & window.
You could simply unplug the lights from the AP board? If you wanted to get really fancy add in a switch on the wire going to the light(s)? The connectors are the blue and red in the below picture from the wiki.
I have the laser version so i cant talk much but i think that can cause problems with the nozzle and plate detection ect, but ofc there is always a way to lower the light only during the print and in the preparation phase have the lights at 100%
