I’m using a MacBook Pro M5 and noticed it seems to use quite a bit of power even when it should be sleeping. For example, after I send something to the printer, close the lid, and leave it alone, I still see more battery drain than I’d expect.
I am using the latest version of Bambu Studio.
Has anyone run into this or found ways to reduce power drain during sleep mode? Any settings I should check or features I should disable? Thanks!
I’m not savvy on which versions have the feature and which don’t but my Macbook has a battery info page where it shows what apps used how much battery.
Once you find that page (in Settings for me), it’s pretty easy to sort out what is draining the battery.
Your best bet is to exit Bambu Studio and let the printer run without the app. Note that the entire print is downloaded before printing starts, and the printer can continue after the app exits.
In the end, got a tip: switch off “wake on network” in the option from battery setting, This die the trick in the end when not connected to the powersupply.
