All of a sudden I cannot connect to my printer and all the guides are wrong regarding location of pins, codes etc.I cannot connect to the cloud or LAN as again the instructions are useless. Having just sold my Creality printer I am never going near Bambu again. So far half a day wasted trying to sort things and nothing. WTF Bambu
Did you update the firmware recently? If yes then go back to 1.08.02.
Thank you for your reply, If all is working OK I dont bother with firmware updates, too many resultant issues. I am running 1.07.02 with no problems for about a year until earlier today. SD card works, printer connected (according to the printer) but Bambu Studio thinks different. Internet OK. Its just all the fixes lead to dead ends. ie enter pin code, X1C doesn’t use one. It says use QR code which wont work as my PC is in a different room.
Im probably 100% wrong, but try to reboot your router and try again.
For the qr code, you can connect the printer to the hotspot on your phone and use bambu handy to connect while standing in front of the printer. Make sure to make the hotspot 2.4ghz. Atleast, this worked a year and a half ago.
I have a feeling youll be good after the router reboot
I might try the router reboot later as the connectivity tests from the printer are showing OK, The PC to router have to be OK as I have your message. On one PC I have the latest version of Bambu Studio on another a much earlier version, the problems are the same. I did at one point get the printer to appear but then I could not bind to it as the X1C does not use a pin code and I am not setup for QR codes. For this to all occur during Bambu’s upsetting everyone with connectivity issues, until proven otherwise its all their fault
Can you not use bambu handy with your phone to connect/bind ? using the qr code
Although i feel you may need to update to a newer firmware version
Binding P1 series printer with Bambu Handy and Bambu Studio | Bambu Lab Wiki
I’ve never heard of Bambu Handy till a few moments ago. Somthing to look at later, thats if my brain desn’t explode. I never had these problems setting up in the first place. I only ever use my phone to show off what my printers doing when in the pub or at the flying field (model) seems this could be a thing of the past. I’m just about to try rebooting my router. I do appreciate all the help being offered.
Its in the app store ( Android ) its a mobile version of makerworld with the added qr code to bind and connect your printer with , its become a little defunct for some since they added the pin system to A Series and bambu studio
Well. Not sure what happened but after some supper I thought I would have another look at the situation and its fixed itself ??? Its like the problem never existed. All I can think of is the Bambu cloud as that sits in the middle and controls all traffic ??? If this is the case then I dont want to have it happen again so I will find out how to set up a LAN (another mystery) Anyhow thank you to everyone who came to my rescue.
