MakerWorld retroactively blocked 2024 models & wiped €1,600 in points (21k pts)

Really?

I’m not convinced the sharpening steel handle is vapor smoothed ASA, either. It doesn’t look very close to the filament.xyz sample, and vapor smoothing should make ASA more glossy, not less.

You summed it up perfectly. The issue here is the principle behind how they removed those items. If they explained it properly, I’d take everything they don’t like out of circulation. The fact that people are downloading these models probably shows that there’s a demand for them. Not everyone knows how to draw a cube, a rectangular prism, or a pyramid… And to all of you who are bashing this—why didn’t you think of it yourselves? I’ll remove all the geometric shapes and leave them on competing platforms.

Because we’re not grifters?

Good job admitting you intended this to be a points harvesting scheme from the start, though. Way to think it through.

Can we hold you to this?

These give me ideas on how to make quick money :joy:

That would conclude this topic. Case closed. It’s good to have that cleared up. We can then mark this topic as solved. :+1:

I won’t stand for anyone here pretending to be an engineer—who has a measly 17 models and 40 downloads on Makerworld—calling me a fraud!!! I have plenty of other models there that generate enough points for me. Good luck reporting things you don’t like or aren’t capable of producing yourself. Not everyone can be both an engineer and a creator

Oooohhh, that’s the good stuff. I’m gonna go update my bio now.

Just while I’m off doing that, could you explain this please?

It’s downloaded. Best of luck.

How about this…

I will back them up (coming from an engineer who has a measly 256 models and 38.4k downloads). You have a good amount of scammy models on your account.

Now answer the questions asked instead of insulting people

Posts like this are always stupid when you look at them for a few minutes.

“I violated rules and I am mad that I was punished”

Also, didn’t makerworld update a few months ago the points system for reducing problems like these? To help creators who spend days designing and prototyping and reward them more than people who click in bambu studio the button of “add primitive, cube”.

What a coincidence, both makerworld notifications are one after another…

And by the way @repair3D , try insulting people less frequently

Yeah I would also like to know about it

Be specific about which ones are fraudulent.

Really? Which ones have we pointed out in this topic?

This one!

It was created in Onshape on June 11, 2022, and since it bothers you so much, I’ve removed it along with the other models.

tamper

you’re conflating things - the people are saying that your image is deceptive, not that you did or did not design it. Its got injection mold marks on it FFS lol.

Why remove it?

Just explain how it came to be, I’m sure there’s a perfectly reasonable explanation, then I’ll apologize to you and even use some boost tokens on your stuff.
