Makerworld Update: At least one photo must be marked as real life

I just checked, the boxes are there on existing models. Going by previous updates if current models aren’t updated they could be open to reports and possible take downs. Just a heads up.

There needs to be a grace period. Retroactive enforcement will not make a lot of people happy.

A lot of models are going to be taken down in the next few days for sure.

They must disclose if they are going to (yet again)n make new rules retroactively.

I have over 850 models, every single one has real photos.

Will there be an update all button?

I only have 121 but I would LOVE a batch update function.

121 is not ‘only’, we are expected to furnish MW with lots of models for their marketing benefits, yet no features for those with more than a dozen models.

OK big shots.

I think a batch update it very possible and would be nice. But this only works if the model only contains real print images.

Well out of the 121 only about 15 of them are good :joy:

Let’s have your number my friend.

It is not only easy (35+ years as professional software developer) it is embarrassing they never think of these things.

Anyone with a catalog needs management features that do not exist.

I think my “to be uploaded” list is at 30ish models right now.

Unless I’m missing it the person viewing the model has no way to see if the box was checked or not. So this is for admin side rule enforcement.

I am only sitting at 26 with 17 sitting in draft. I am bad at finishing projects.

This is going to take awhile to fix up, especially with the 100 uploads per day limit.

From my experience so far:
If your profile/model only had one photo it looks like it gets automatically marked as real life?

where can you see update? i have not received it to my account notificatios:o

If you go Makerworld and select the envelope icon at the top right. Then click “system” and it should be the top system message.

Yeh, thats my issue. its not there ;o

Yeah, nope, I haven’t been informed either.

I have the feature, just no explanation or information.

That’s odd, I’m trying to think of a reason and I can’t. Are there so many users now that it takes that long to send out system messages?

Mine was 2 hours ago.

May be a region based issue. Weird that they didnt get sent out all at once.

USA ftw
