Some of you may have seen my 3D printed caps on MakerWorld before.
What started as a simple wearable cap project eventually became something much bigger.
For the last few months I’ve been working on MakeYourCaps, a web app that lets you create and customize your own wearable 3D printed caps.
MakeYourCaps has now been officially accepted for MakerWorld Crowdfunding and is currently in pre-launch.

I wanted to take the idea much further: instead of downloading a fixed model, what if anyone could create their own version directly in the browser?
With MakeYourCaps you can:
• Upload your own images and wrap them onto the cap
• Apply camo patterns across the entire surface
• Choose decals from the library and automatically place them
• Create your own repeating patterns
• Change complete color themes with one click
• Adjust the cap size to your head
• Combine PLA + TPU in the Multi-Material Cap — or simply print it entirely in PLA on your A1 or X1 Series.
• Export everything as a print-ready 3MF for Bambu Studio, supports and filaments pre-configured
The graphics aren’t just visual textures, they are converted into actual printable geometry and filament colors.
I’ve also been printing and testing the designs throughout development, so below are some of the real results
