That is a weird noise indeed.
I know my handles of the filament cutters have a little bit of play and during the short noise calibration step they click similarly. However, I never noticed this happening during standard printing.
I am almost convinced it is a none-recoverable warn-out nozzle. I just spend >half an hour outside with it and a map-torch trying to clear it. I can get a ribbed tool stuck down inside it once cool. but cannot get that little plug of yellow PTEG out of it, even with very slight heating of the nozzle. I can get that small .4mm “pin” down though and out the nozzle if I heat the nozzle. The filament in it is like it is bonded to the metal. I am ordering a Tungsten-Carbon Nozzle and Tungsten-Carbon HF Nozzle. IN the meantime, I installed a .4mm Carbon Steel HF nozzle and letting the printer go through an entire calibration. I think it still has 20+ minutes to go. Once done, I will start the print again. If it fxcks up again, I guess, I can change the extrusion gears. If not, I go a bad re-fill spool of PTEG from Bambu Labs. If that were the case, do I trust any of the 20 rolls of PTEG I bought from them?

I do not think this is " nozzle wear”. It’s a PETG clog causing high backpressure, which makes the extruder click and can trigger recalibration.
Torch cleaning likely carbonized the PETG, so replacing the nozzle (your Carbon Steel HF Nozzle is fine) is the right move.
Before blaming the filament, print with PLA. If it runs clean, then it’s not a hardware issue. Your PETG possibly got wet or degraded.
Thank you. The PetG was right out of a sealed Refill “bag”. With the new nozzle, it just printed perfectly.
I am so used to printing flawlessly without failures with ABS. I have switched to PETG for a few project as it is more “springy” / Flexible than ABS or PLA, or so I have heard in a video podcast from DaBear on Youtube.
Like you said, a PTEG Clog, but I could not “un-plug” it, the material was stuck to the insides like glue.
Uh-oh, just went to print another PETG print, right after a perfect print and got “an extruder motor overload” error. Grrrr…..
Looks like the new Hi-Flow Nozzle is clogged. I don’t get this. I print Petg on my POS K2 Plus all the time, with no problems, and on the X1C. Both the other don’t argue, they just say “Yum, give me more!”. This H2S, does NOT like PETG.
Unclog routine can’t even get filament in the brand new print nozzle.
This time, there was a little bit of yellow PTEG broken off right at the very top where the filament goes in to the nozzle. What the heck!
Damn, the H2S is starting to get like the Creality K2 Plus. It can print really well, but I have to spend half a day kissing its ■■■ and sweet talking it to start printing.
There for a bit it was acting like an intermittent filament sensor. Well, that is impossible for that to be the case, because Bambu has none of those to sell, ergo, it can not be a problem.
Then cut filament or broken fell down from the cutter. It was like filament still oozing and then got cut and fell in to the very top of the nozzle. After fixing that, it could not sense filament. After several resets, I think it is sensing filament again; possible a thermal related intermittence, maybe with the sensor’s flex cable, I dunno, but again, that is an impossibility since I can not purchase that part. It may be in-stock May 4th. I think it was April 30th, before that. I will buy several if/when it is available.
Right now, I think it is printing again. I have lost faith in this printer.
I bet it’s been a year and a half since I change the nozzle in the X1C, it’s been so long I do not remember how to do so and will need to go to the WIKI to find out how. It just works and is a reliable toaster appliance that makes plastic parts withOUT argument. As long as I was printing ABS, so was this H2S. Although these issues with PTEG may be pure coincindence.
