Does anyone have experience with both? Looking to upgrade to one or the other.

I don’t THINK anyone here has gotten their hands on the Mako yet. I could be wrong. I have the Panda Revo on 3 X1Cs and 1 P1S. Love the hotend, no longer a fan of the company. BIQU I mean, still love E3D. If you do decide to order the Panda PLEASE order it from Amazon, West3D, KB-3D or a company you trust and not directly from BIQU.
I HAVE TRIED basically all the options, stock, e3d, mako, and the new Microswiss diamond back, my current daily and preferred hotend is the Microswiss diamond back option. absolutely a beast!!!

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how do you use a nozzle like the diamondback with a P1S/X1C?

i Chose a diamondback, but you can choose a couple different options, and the nozzles are interchangeable after you buy the hotend so you can always just change nozzles later

there’s nothing wrong with the stock nozzle, but 3rd party nozzles do offer some improvements and versatilities, if money is no object this is one of the best options, i like both microsswiss and the slice mako because of the easy nozzle change functionality. no more tossing away whole extruders. but at the end of the day its kinda like TV, you do not need all the bells and whistles to watch a movie, however damn does it feel good to watch things in crystal clear pixel perfect oled awesomeness
Thanks, I’m going to try to get something with quick swap so I can go between 0.4 and 0.2 easily, it’s also probably cheaper in the long term anyway so I don’t mind spending a little more.
Panda is eh and it’s mainly due to the Revo ecosystems price gouged parts and availability. I highly suggest MicroSwiss’s new release “FlowTech” hotend that truly revolutionizes the X1/P1 series aftermark hotends. It uses BondTech’s CHT technology that splits and channels filament into 3 - then out the nozzle which creates a vastly improved layer bond.
Here’s a quick statement from them on their site:
An official collaboration between Microswiss and Bondtech brings the CHT High Flow nozzle to the FlowTech ecosystem. This nozzle incorporates proprietary CHT technology, specifically engineered to boost the flow rate and improve layer adhesion.
Although awaiting their official test results, they hold to claim a max 50mm/s3 volumetric flow rate can be achieved. Not to mention the pricing is cheaper than both of those hotends - Microswiss is made in USA and shipping is fast!
Another highlight I recently found is that their CHT CM2 Nozzles that are hardened steel come with lifetime limited warranties against wear, that’s how much they back their nozzles.

Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll check it out, any issues with PETG or other filaments sticking to the diamond back nozzle tip?
if you are curious about the nozzle change on the swiss hotend, copy this into YouTube " A 3D Printer that CLIMBS?!? That and more from SMRRF 24! " move forward to the 6 minute mark and they show you the quick nozzle swap, its really cool, this is why i was saying its worth it to me as i normally carry a large variety of nozzles and changing sizes is stupid easy.

I just got my Slice Mako hotend for my X1C. Omg. I don’t know what went wrong with Slice, but this hotend clogged immediately. I installed and set it up correctly, and used filament and files that were working perfectly just an hour earlier on stock hotend. Underextrusion and poor layer adhesion.
I warn you all to not get a Mako.
I just ordered a Microswiss today.
I have a Panda Revo already on my P1. It works just fine. I wouldn’t say it’s much better than stock except for convenience.

Yeahh. You should’ve googled before commiting to Mako. It’s horrible.
What makes you not like BIQU? just curious as I have the X1C and am looking at their REVO hotend or the Microswiss hotend at the moment. Currently in love with BIQU’s Frostbite and Glacier plates.
What made you chose this over the Flowtech CM2 CHT High Flow? im looking at both at the moment but the Diamondback not being high flow and more expensive is pushing me to the CM2 CHT option.
I’ll start with the positive. I have their Octopus 1.1 MCU in 10 printers and they’re great. I have their Cpap blower on 6 printers and they’re great. Their plain gold build plate is my preferred plate for the Bambus. I have several ADXL345 accelerometers and EBB42 canbus boards, all great.
When they started putting out the Panda stuff is when things went downhill. My Panda touch has been trouble from the start. Right now I have it powered by it’s own wall plug and that seems to have fixed some of the problems. I guess the P1S USB isn’t as strong as BIQU thought. The Panda Lux light bar is about the same as the stock lighting. If it’s an upgrade I can’t tell. The Panda Jets are horrible. My anemometer shows they put out about 50% the air the stock shroud does. The Panda Claw doesn’t really improve anything, it’s metal so it will last longer but it’s also more noisy. The Panda extruder is ok, you need the extra cooling to prevent heat creep. I now have to print with the door open to prevent heat creep, which I never had to before the BIQU upgrades. I would recommend the Revo is you already have a large nozzle collection. That was the reason I swapped to it. If you don’t have any Revo nozzles I think one of the other high flow options might be better.
Now for the customer service side. One of the Cpap cooling kits was DOA. I sent them video of me connecting it and no lights or fan. They kept asking for more and more pictures and video. I finally just returned it to Aliexpress. I had a sizable order last year that was never delivered. I contacted USPS and I guess they can see the drivers GPS location when the package was scanned delivered. They apologized and said it was delivered to the wrong address and that they could not recover it. I forwarded this official USPS email and after several days they wrote back and said an email is not sufficient, that I would need a signed letter on USPS letter head. I emailed the post office and shockingly they sent me a signed letter with the same apology for mis-delivering the package. I forwarded this to BIQU and they stopped responding. I didn’t hear from them again until I disputed it on my credit card… then they offered to re-send the order if I closed the dispute. A few months ago I won one of their give-a-ways on Instagram for the new Eddy-duo. I messaged them several times and they finally wrote back and told me it was sold out?? I asked for a plain gold build plate and they agreed. The ended up sending me one of the blue plates.
I think that covers it lol… so to summerize:
Non-Bambu BIQU: Solid, nice products
Bambu BIQU: Probably not needed
Customer Service: Bad, if you need something order it from Amazon or somewhere that will cover you if it doesn’t show up or is DOA.

How’s the micro Swiss treating you? I’m between it and E3D obxidian
What made you pick micro Swiss over E3D? Is it just the nozzle system?
I’m stuck between the cht hardened flow tech and the E3D obxidian. The nozzle system is great but I’m not sure I’ll be switching very much. Just want to get a high flow for better strength and speed without sacrificing quality
