My printer is a BambuLab X 1 Carbon.

When I do a Manual bed leveling and I control the print head on the display, something strange happens.

If I control the Y axis backwards, not only does the printhead move backwards, but the print bed also goes up in small steps.
If I move the Y axis forward, not only does the printhead move forward, but the print bed also moves down in small steps.

The Bambulab Firmware I am using on the printer is v 01.06.05.01

The Bambulab Studio version is v 01.09.03.50

How is that possible ?

That’s is odd behavior but I would suggest updating your firmware as 1.06 is pretty old. Also suggest that you preform a factory reset after you update.

The procedure doesn’t require manual control of the print head. Maybe try follow the instruction linked below and see what happen?

Maybe compensation from auto bed leveling mesh is moving the bed

This is the only report of this behavior that I have seen, and it is a year old. Hopefully, the issue has been resolved already.
